Overview
Prof. habil. Viorel Panaite is a distinguished scholar in Islamic-Ottoman History, currently serving as Professor and Supervisor of the Doctoral School of History at the University of Bucharest. Since 1991, he has also been a Senior Researcher at the Institute of South-East European Studies of the Romanian Academy.
His academic excellence has earned him numerous fellowships and speaking invitations across Turkey, Western Europe, and the USA.
