Executive Committee (2024–2027)

The principal decision-making body of EMAN during the current term.

Elected by the General Assembly for a three-year mandate, the Executive Committee is responsible for guiding EMAN’s strategic agenda, implementing its approved programs, and representing the network in international fora. The composition for the 2024–2027 term reflects regional diversity and academic distinction.

Ad Hoc / Standing Committees

Specialized bodies to support EMAN’s strategic and operational activities.

EMAN may establish ad hoc or permanent committees to address specific themes or tasks such as:

  • Scientific capacity-building
  • Regional foresight studies
  • Policy advisory and science diplomacy
  • Environmental and health challenges
  • Digital transformation in higher education

These committees, composed of delegates from member academies, function under the guidance of the Executive Committee and contribute directly to EMAN’s mission.

As of 2025, the network is exploring the establishment of:

  • A Standing Committee on Science for Sustainability
  • A Working Group on Regional Knowledge Transfer
